Lucy Cade

Lucy Cade (b. 1980) lives and works in Rutland, UK. Her work is inspired by the evocation of lived and remembered experience, about the illusory and mediated nature of perception and how these things can be expressed through portraiture or the presentation of a figure in a landscape. Her oil paintings have been exhibited at Modern Art Oxford, at numerous Art Fairs and Midlands galleries, as well as at the Mall Galleries in London as part of the ING Discerning Eye (2005). She was also a semi-finalist in the ‘Big Art Challenge’ on Channel Five in 2004. Her work is collected and commissioned in the UK.
