Holly Brandrick
Born 1998 in Burton on Trent, UK | Lives and works in Warwickshire, UK

Holly Brandrick looks to pop culture, her surroundings and memories as inspiration. Her paintings deconstruct and reconstruct various elements, creating a playful atmosphere in her work. She sees her work as an extension of her everyday life, drawing upon personal photos, films and narratives. Through the use of figurative characters in unusual surroundings, Brandrick incorporates skewed interior and exterior scenes to warp the viewer’s perspective. Symbolism is another element Brandrick uses in order to investigate death, love, loneliness, religion and human connection.
