Noah Mashiak’s work consists of process-oriented abstract paintings defined by their accumulative layers. Through intensive linework and obfuscated collage, arises images both familiar yet unrecognisable. Merging ruminations on personal experience with imagery of an unfamiliar world creates scenes ambiguous and removed from their original context. These subjects cater to the free-associative nature of the mind while exploring evolving imagery related to the natural world, biomorphism, and the entheogenic experience.
