Andrew Cerami

Andrew Cerami (b. 1991) is a self-taught, outsider artist whose work is the expression of a deep engagement with natural philosophy, metaphysics and the supernatural. His primary subject is the vital life force energy and its laws and patterns. His work is concerned mainly with the non-human world and an exploration of natural forces and principles as opposed to contemporary human culture and social constructs. Cerami was raised between Pennsylvania, Jamaica, Cape Cod and London and currently lives and works in Philadelphia.

His work explores the inseparable and fluid relationship between form, energy and material. He treats this subject as a portal between states of consciousness as well as a way to consider alchemical processes of transformation. His work seeks primal forms that emerge from the background resonance and fixes them into the material. As an artist, he seeks to create a context for the viewer to reflect the essential and emergent non-duality of consciousness so that identity can be expanded.
