Mengqiu Li (b. 1987 in China) lives and works in Berlin. For her, painting is a natural way to feel the heartbeat between the heaven and earth.

“I simply dive into the silence when I paint, watch the colourful world which consist of dreams, illusions and more, ever dancing in front of my curiously opened eyes. Then I try to dance with them with my brushes in that absolute moment. These mediative aesthetic experience integrated me magically through the form to the ultimate light,  which connected me to the universe. It also deepened my understanding of life-death-rebirth where everything is connected.”
