Natacha Martins (b. 1997, Portugal) uses painting and painting environments to explore the irrational behaviour of the human condition. Her work draws acute observations of the sacred and the profane concepts in the contemporary scope. The presence of the artist’s identity is in direct response to the ongoing interest of human archaic nature. Her work breathes life into an ongoing interest in the in-temporal forms of emotional communication. Her art is almost painfully human. Her figures, emerging from smoke and twist, capture the struggles and the extremes frailties of what it means to be a human.
