His work currently concentrates on observational paintings of autobiographical, oftentimes, quotidian and naive moments, touching on themes such as queer and Asian identity, intuition, and the reconciliation of the self subconscious nature. He reflects upon how painting and drawing have functioned as a meeting space between my external and internal landscapes. He is often drawn to subtleties of light and textures, contours and colours while constantly exploring different modes for healing, self-inquiry, and meditation. He works with spontaneous lines and brushstrokes, staying within an accepted comfort that his energy and moods do fluctuate daily, weekly, and seasonally. He hopes to envelop this acceptance into an evocation and a gentle reminder of innocence, play, and tactility through his paintings.
