London Paint Club

POPUP exhibition
+ Magazine

deadline: 1 October, 2022

For Painters

London Paint Club specialises in showcasing Contemporary Painting from around the world. We’ve exhibited over 170+ artists from across the globe in our Online and Popup Exhibitions in London.

We’ve partnered with the Koppel Project X Piccadilly Circus to host our next Popup Exhibition in central London this November, 2022. Along with our Popup Exhibition, all shortlisted artists will have their work featured in a coinciding print magazine. Selected artists will also have the opportunity to give a featured interview included in the magazine.

For this exhibition, we will be curating artworks by our Artist Members and opening up the platform to discover completely new artists.

Your work will also be showcased on our website in an online viewing room and promoted on our social media platforms. Get discovered by contemporary art enthusiasts, gallerists, curators and collectors. By joining the London Paint Club community, you are getting exposure for your work and have opportunities to grow your practice and be discovered.

Our new magazine is an inspiring selection of interviews with artists from the exhibition. All shortlisted artists will have images of their work featured along with their artist statements. Select artists will also be invited to participate in an interview with the curator of the exhibition. The magazine will be available for sale online after the exhibition.

Our Stats

How to apply

You can submit up to 2 artworks for consideration. All you need to apply is 2 normal images of your artwork (can be taken from your phone, and do not have to be super high res), a brief artist statement explaining your work and an artist bio giving us a little more context about who are you. There is a £25 application fee that can be paid online through a secure payment window. Once that is submitted, we will review all of the applications after the deadline and notify successful applicants directly by the email address you have submitted.

Requirements

We are accepting artworks that are painting focused, but that can be interpreted to include other mixed media. We are only accepting artworks up to 80 cm in any dimension, so we will lean towards accepting smaller works for the physical installation. All artists are required to drop off their works on the specified installation day and are equally responsible for removing their work from the gallery. London Paint Club takes a commission for any works sold through the online viewing room and physical exhibition. You do not have to be based in London to apply but you will be responsible for all shipping costs.

Ready to Apply?

Please have your images, artist statement and artist bio ready. If you have any questions about the application process, please email info@londonpaintclub.com

What happens if I'm selected?

After the application deadline, if we feel that your work is a good fit for London Paint Club, we will contact you via email and discuss which work we would like to exhibit. Then we will ask you to send us high resolution images of your work to be included in the magazine and online viewing room. You will also have an artist member’s page created where your work will be shown on our website! We will keep you updated on when the exhibition opening will be held and other events that will take place during the exhibition in November. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the London Paint Club community!

"Participating in Spring Awakening was a thoroughly encouraging and enjoyable experience for me. Kelly is phenomenal to work with. I am amazed by her ability to work on behalf of so many artists concurrently. She was always quick to update anything to fit my preferences and we engaged in meaningful and candid exchanges about how to best present myself and my work. She did an outstanding job of publishing our work to social media and the virtual exhibition was a wonderful presentation format. The choice of artists was eclectic, unique and top notch. I highly recommend any artist to submit to LPC and to seek a chance to work with Kelly and this outstanding arts platform."

Through discovering LPC on instagram and seeing the wonderful, inspiring paintings posted on your page, by taking part in the exhibition I felt part of a bigger artistic community and discovered some amazing artists and their work. "I was excited to see London Paint Club in my Instagram feed and find their great website with an exhibition archive, listings, directory and Gallery viewing rooms. My experience of submitting work for the ‘Open Call’ and then working with them to finalize my submission was an interesting and enjoyable one. The resulting exhibition was diverse and painters from all over the planet were involved. If you're passionate about painting, here is your opportunity to be part of something good and connect with other Artists and Collectors from around the world."
