Sebastien Dubois

Born 1993 in Ivry sur Seine, France | Lives and works in Nice, France

Sebastien Dubois creates paintings that are strongly influenced by cinema and the ‘‘aesthetics of excess’ in music, literature and theatre. Dubois incorporates abstract elements in his paintings that function as metaphorical references. The narratives that run through his paintings are violent, self-destructive and cynical with the intention of drawing viewers out of their comfort zones to question the dark side of mankind and bring awareness to these issues.
