Audrey Lu

Audrey Lu (b. 1994 in Dalian, China) lives and works in London. Since 2018, the artist has been working under the name “Mutedemu” which represents a physiological identity and manifested in her desire to create. She created this alter identity as a way to experience a new fiction that explores the role of love and its origins through a feminine lens. Her work often portrays distance, entanglement and lust and act as a way to exclude unwanted memories. Her work embraces a unique vision of a mysterious, peculiar world filled with nature and fantasy.
