Morgan Ogilvie (b. 1981 Nashville, USA) received her MFA from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). She has work at Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment in LA and her paintings have been published in Artforum.com, the Vassar Review, and Art in the Time of Corona written by Dab Art founder, Yessica Torres. She participated in the group show, Time is Out of Joint, published in Hyperallergic, held at the MAK Center in LA, curated by artist Scott Benzel. Her work was featured in the Tennessean, Nashville Arts Magazine, the Nashville Scene and a group show at Zeitgeist Gallery.
Often looking at the world through the lens of misunderstood female characters, she considers themes such as childhood wonderment, pathology, family lineage, absurdity, and Southern Gothic.
